Good buy for the price, but not a great one. I had to keep pulling the plug and reinserting them into my computer jack to get them to work. However, after using the earbuds on a flight, I became a little less impressed. I don't have to manipulate the plug to get them to work, like the earbuds. I was impressed with the amount of stuff you get for the price. I was surprised that there was an audio adapter included in the package. It wasn't the computer, because the headphones work just fine.
Overall this is a really good deal. The bass is strong in the Coby headphones but not harsh. I compared these Coby CV200s to pair of Beringer HPX2000 headphones. The Cobys are good though and sometimes you want a softer sound of muffled highs. It is really neat. You place the earphones in the pockets and the cord is wrapped and spun around a small wheel inside the case manually. OK you really notice the Coby does indeed have more bass but the HPX2000s have a very lively crisp upper mid-range and treble sound. You can use the equalizer in I-tunes or Windows Media Player and up the middle and high ranges to liven the cheaper Coby headphones but they never really get the crispness of music.
If you are traveling and don't want to worry about losing or breaking an expensive headphone set these Coby CV200 headphones will make you very happy. Close the top and you have a nice little carrying case. These headphones sound decent and the bass boost is nice. With the Beringer you can hear the drumstick smack the cymbals and actually hear the guitar pick hit the strings on acoustic guitars in Doobie Brothers "Captain and Me" album. As for the Earphones the coolest thing is not the earphones (as they are very sub-par) but the case they come in.
The downside is the wire is cheap and doesn't last real long. I gave around $10 for these and the sound is on par with much more costly phones. If you are gentle with them you might get a year or more out of them before you start having trouble with the wires.
I've owned many pairs of this brand / model.Very comfortable and great sound.More than well worth the price.Unfortunately , they don't last long at all.My current pair didn't last 2 weeks before one side started cutting in and out (loose connection).Even though you can prolong their life by constantly wiggling wires around , still very annoying. As long as I can keep finding good deals on them I will continue to buy them.I would gladly pay more for them for better workmanship.
I bought one for a friend also. An incredible buy. Very nice sound. Attractive appearance. Good cable length.
